Analyze your data (Analysis Flow)

Analysis Flow uses AI to perform complex data analysis on Excel files — variance analysis, anomaly detection, year-over-year comparisons, and more.

Create an analysis

  1. Go to Analysis Flow in the sidebar
  2. Click New Analysis
  3. Describe what you want to analyze (in plain language)
  4. Select your Excel files
  5. Review the AI-generated plan
  6. Click Run

Example prompts

Variance analysis:

"Compare actual expenses to budget and highlight variances greater than 10%"

Anomaly detection:

"Find transactions that are unusual compared to historical patterns"

Year-over-year comparison:

"Compare revenue by product category between 2023 and 2024"

Ratio analysis:

"Calculate key financial ratios and flag any outside normal ranges"

Review and export

Analysis results show step-by-step phases:

  1. Open the completed analysis
  2. Click each step to see intermediate tables
  3. Review the methodology and calculations
  4. Export the final results to Excel

Working with multiple files

Analysis Flow can work with multiple Excel files:

  • Compare different periods
  • Cross-reference data sources
  • Combine related datasets

Specify which files to use when creating the analysis.

Be specific

The more specific your analysis prompt, the better the results. Include:

  • What you want to compare
  • Thresholds for flagging
  • Any specific calculations needed
